TIME | TITLE | INSTRUCTOR |
17:15-18:45 | Oculomics Study Examples and Hands-on Exercises | Yukun ZHOU |
The AI workshop will be conducted in English with hands-on training. It introduces the emerging field of Oculomics, which explores how ocular biomarkers can reveal insights into systemic health and diseases. Participants will learn from real-world examples of Oculomics studies. The session includes interactive, hands-on exercises using publicly available retinal image datasets and open-source tools (e.g. AutoMorph) to extract and analyse ocular biomarkers. Attendees will gain practical experience in data processing, image quality control, and feature extraction. This workshop is designed for researchers and clinicians interested in the intersection of ophthalmology, data science, and systemic disease research. It is particularly aimed at supporting participants with limited or no coding experience, providing accessible tools and guidance throughout.
